AN END 21 Dec 20

December 22, 2012 Poetry, Writing No Comments

End of the world is nigh meany did say. Some thought we’d perish in fire and others felt in ice. According to the Mayan Calendar, on this day 21.12.2012,comes the end of an era and an end of one of the three calendars, not the end of the world.

From Robert Frost
(March 26, 1874 – January 29, 1963)

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
